Back to School Again!

Another lay out for my scrapbook.  Can I get a woohoo?  Mama's on a roll.  This is for my son's school scrapbook.  I love doing the comparison of first day vs. last day.  Thank you Pinterest for that wonderful idea!  I love documenting the changes.  I'm hoping to complete the second half of this layout, his class picture, this week.  I guess this is good enough for now.

12X12 layout.

Scrappy Moms Kids Incorporated stamp on the arrow.  I'm hoping to use more stamps on my layouts.

I used the DCWV Grade School paper stack and Bazzill for the solid colors.  The stickers are from the paper stack.  I used the Cricut cartridge Ribbons and Rosettes for the border and Simply Charmed for the crayons.

Loose Tooth

Last week my son lost his 3rd tooth and then two days later his 4th tooth.  Two missing teeth on top equals one sad yet happy mama.  Sad because he officially looks like a 7 year boy and happy because he looks so stinkin' adorable. Love that kid and his new smile!
When I saw the challenge this week at Fantabulous Cricut I knew I had to enter, tooth fairy!  Good thing I got some great pic's of my son.  I decided to go with a layout for the challenge.  This is something I definitely want to document and cherish for the future. I followed sketch number 148 at The Scrappiest Sketches.  I used DCWV, The Guys Stack for the papers.  I really wanted it to look big boy-ish (making up my own words here).  I used my first set of Amy  Tangerine Thickers for the title and small "x's" by the picture frames.  The teeth and numbers were cut with the Baby Steps cartridge and Accent Essentials for the circles.      I had to use my Peachy Keen stamps for the faces. Enjoy!

Baby Shower

I promised pictures of my sister in laws baby shower.  Just to re-cap I made a banner, diaper cake, centerpieces and a sign for the wishing well.  A lot of work but it all came together nicely and she was happy.

I used the following cartridges:
Baby Steps
Elegant Edges

Bronze Metal

I am having so much fun catching up on my scrapbooking layouts.  I completed two this week.  I feel so accomplished!  My son graduated to the bronze metal level at Safety Swim.  So proud of him.  The test was rigorous but he did excellent job.  I don't think I could have passed that test,
So here is a scrapbook page honoring him.  The top picture shows him ringing the bell.  When you pass a level at Safety Swim you get to ring the bell and everyone in the pool cheers for you.  The second picture is my son with his swim instructor. Faces are blocked for privacy.  I used an old DCWV pack stack, Summer Dream.  I cut the scalloped square from Elegant Edges and used Birthday Bash for the banner and letters.  The chipboard stickers and journaling tab are from Recollections.

Sorry the date was included in the shots.   I took the pictures last minute.

Minnie Party

I was so happy to see the Scrappy Moms challenge this week, Disney Mania.  Who doesn't love Disney??  When you hear the word Disney you automatically get a big smile on your face and think of your childhood or if your a mom you think of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  I'm embarrassed to admit I can recite the whole introduction to the show.  I may even do the weird Goofy dance from time to time to get a laugh from my kiddos.
My daughter loves Minnie so it was only natural to have a Minnie Mouse party.  I've found some wonderful inspiration on Pinterest. Love that site.   I made these invitations for her party and hope to share the centerpiece ideas soon.  I still need to make them and the party is 2 weeks away.

This invitation is simple, clean with a  little bling.  Just the way I like things.
