Christmas Wrap Up

I finally put away all of my Christmas decorations today.  Whewwww!  I love the Christmas season but I am also happy to see my house return to normal.  I LOVE keeping everything neat and organized.  Christmas with kids home from school = unorganized mess.  Anywhooo, I wanted to share some of my Christmas creations with you.  I found it to be rather difficult to post during the holiday season.  So here is my Christmas wrap up.

I think this card was my favorite. I love the stamp, On Dasher, On Dancer, On Visa, On Mastercard!. This stamp is from the Scrappy Moms set "Winter Wishes".

My first ever Joy fold card. I love this style card and it was perfect for my cookie party. The die cuts are from SVG Cuts.

I love my Forever Young cartridge and I loved making it into a Santa Baby card.

Lotto ticket holder for the hubby. Unfortunately we did not "Win for Life". Ohhh well next time!

This card won the Simply Pam challenge, woohoo! My little nephew brings a lot of luck!

Mary at Cardz TV made my Christmas by having a very easy gift card holder tutorial. I love this because I can whip these up in no time. I gave this one to the bus driver and the one below to the teachers.
I really love this card.

This card was attached to the gift basket I gave my aunt and uncle. Filled with some yummy treats, Cinnamon Swirl bread, Champagne and Cran-Raspberry juice.
I used my ribbon and rosettes cartridge to make a tag for the drink recipe, Poinsettia
1/2 champagne flute of Brut Champagne
1/2 Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry juice
I also served this at my cookie party and the ladies went nuts for it.

My cookie party favor, a treat bag (purchased from the Christmas Tree Shop) filled with Oatmeal Cranberry White Chocolate cookies. These were also a hit and looked much prettier than the chocolate cookies I put in here for the picture. I had the table decorated so nicely but I couldn't find time to take pictures. Ohhh well at least I got to enjoy the champagne.

Cookie treat boxes for neighbors, bus driver and teachers.

Lastly, treat bags that I made with the Baby Steps cartridge for classroom giveaways. Filled with pretzel, Hershey Hugs and M&M's.

That's my Christmas wrap up. I didn't get to make as many cards, tags and treat bags as I would have liked but I did get to spend a lot of time with my kids and husband and that's what matters most.

Looking forward to crafting with you in 2012!

Scrappy Moms Challenge

I have a very quick post tonight.  I really should be organizing the crazy amount of gifts my children received but I thought I could sneek in a quick post for the Scrappy Moms Challenge.  The challenge is to "make a project that includes a bag."  My first project is a treat bag that I gave away to my guests at my cookie party.  I had high hopes to capture all of my "kreations" on camera but reality struck and I was busy running around serving drinks, getting lunch ready and making sure everyone was having a good time.  Anyway I took this picture today so the adorable Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies that I had in the bag were all gone so I substituted a chocolate cookie.  I purchased the bag at the Christmas Tree Shop and I made the tag from my NEW Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge.  I love the way the rosette looks, like a snowflake.  My  stamping job was not so good and that is why this one stayed with me.  My guests received the better ones.

I also made a small treat bag for a class giveaway with the Baby Steps cartridge. The bag can be found on page 70. I added a rosette and tag once again and filled it with treats. The treats are pretzel with Hershey's Hugs and a M&M in the middle. Super easy to make.

Baby's 1st Christmas

So today I have a quick and super easy card.  I made this card for my adorable nephew.  He will be celebrating his first Christmas this year and I wanted to make a special card for him.

I wish I had a stamp that said "Baby's 1st Christmas" but I didn't so I had to make it on my computer.  I'm not lovin' the way it looks but I really wanted it on the stocking cuff.  I'm sure he won't notice it! Haha!

Card base- Michael's pre made card measures 5 X 6.5
Cardstock - Recollections Jolly and Bright, Bazzill
Cartridges- Elegant Edges, Simply Charmed
Sentiment- Computer generated

DIVA and a Winning Ticket

December is flying by faster than I can craft.  I have so many "to do" items that I'm afraid I won't be able to get them all done.  I can however, check off two items, card for my sister in law and lotto ticket holder for my hubby.  The card is very simple and was made specifically for the M.A.G. challenge.  The challenge this week was to use  this image only.

My sister in law is a DIVA.  Loves all things girly so I knew I could make a Christmas card for her with this challenge.  Here is what I came up with.
Very simple, yes, but also very "her".  Like I said she is a DIVA and loves to shop.  I used the emblem for the frames and the shopping bags are the tags but I cut off the top point.  I added some of her favorite stores to the front of the bags.  The dress is embellished with the polka dot embossing folder and I added stickles to the white portion.  I hope she likes it.  It seems like I'm always using the Forever Young cartridge for her cards.

I also used the Forever Young cartridge for my husband.  I know, I know what cut on that cartridge could possibly apply to a man.  Well I used the emblem from page 43 once again and made a lotto ticket holder.  I filled it with  Win for Life lotto tickets, who doesn't want to win that!  I also used the same emblem for the frame and used my scrappy moms Winter Wishes stamp for the center.  I think that stamp was perfect for a lotto ticket holder don't ya think?

Well I'm off to work on more holiday cards, crafts, cookie party placecards, etc, etc.

Christmas Cookie Exchange

I feel like it's been a long time since I posted. I scored some hot deals at AC Moore and Michaels on black friday.  What am I most excited about?  The Elegant Edges cartridge I picked up.  I've wanted this one for a while.  I LOVE it!  There are so many unique cuts that are perfect for cards, banners, signs, and scrapbooking.  I think I'll be using this one a lot.  Can't wait to make some new stuff for my etsy shop.

Now for my card.   I am hosting a cookie party this year.  I invited some stay at home moms in the neighborhood and my mother and mother in law.  I wanted to make cute invitations and here is what I came up with. Note,  I went a little picture crazy.

I'm soooo happy with the way they turned out.  I found a tutorial for the joy fold card here.  It's a super easy card to make.  My paper was not double sided so I added some extra paper cuts.  The paper is from Recollections Jolly and Bright collection. I love this paper pack because it's fun and whimsical.  Exactly the way Christmas should be, especially for a cookie party.  I embossed the front card with D'Vine Swirls and printed the invitation on my computer.  All of the die cuts on the front are from SVG Cuts Christmas Cookie Party.  This set is awesome for Christmas time or for anyone that loves to cook and bake.   I added some faux stitching on the dress and oven mitt.  I think it gave it a little some extra.  The "your invited" stamp is from Fiskars All Year Greetings.  I also included a list of the cookies on a cookie sheet.  How stinkin' cute!
I'll be posting more decorating and papercrafting ideas for the cookie party soon.  I'm thinking placecard holders for the recipes, treat bags for all of the guests, and a drink recipe or two.

Comments make me smile ;-)

CARDZ TV-  OK I'm stretching this a bit since the challenge is to create a card with an image that starts with the letter "S".  I have a spoon on my card so I know I'm reaching with this one but it's an "S" right?
