Give Thanks Turkey

OK, I admit I'm going turkey crazy.  I'm in love with that little turkey on the Create A Critter cartridge.  He's so stinkin' cute.  This time I used him in a totally different way.  I used him for a cute kids project.  Let me back track here and explain a little.  Last year I made a Give Thanks tree with my kids.  Each day we added a new leaf to the tree.  On the leaf we wrote something that we are thankful for.  Some of the leaves included hugs, mommy, daddy, family trips, cleaning up toys (ok that one was mine but I really am thankful when they help clean up), etc...  This year I thought about doing the tree again but then I looked at that little turkey in the Create A Critter manual and said he's perfect.  I cut his body and then I used an oval from SCAL for the feathers, triangle for the nose, free handed the red thingy (not sure what it's called), googly eyes, free handed the hat.  I also cut Give Thanks in SCAL, G-Unit font.  I used my studio G stamps and stamped each feather with Thankful for....  Now the kids can pick a feather each day and write something they are thankful for.  The Give Thanks turkey is hanging in our kitchen hoping to make it past Thanksgiving.  Good thing he's made out of paper.
